In addition to our national client base, North Central Stamping & Manufacturing, Inc. maintains a strong local presence and is a proud contributor to many architectural projects in the area. We were pleased to participate in the construction of Target Stadium, which opened in 2010 as the new home to the Minnesota Twins baseball franchise. Ranked by ESPN Magazine as one of 2013’s top 20 baseball stadium experiences in North America, this 39,021-seat open-air ballpark features a façade constructed from local limestone and is noted for being awarded LEED Silver Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
Chosen as the supplier of the wind veil flappers shown here, we developed a stamping process to form the 5052 aluminum components, which featured dimensions of 5.00” in length, 5.00” in width, and 0.20” in thickness. We utilized a bright dip process to create the glossy appearance and chemically polish the surface for an enhanced visual appeal. Low cost tooling made this large order of 55,000 pieces very economical, and we completed it within a 6 week timeframe.
